Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma emphasized the state’s commitment to supporting farmers during the concluding day of the 4th Organic Youth Summit in Shillong. He highlighted that government policies are centered on uplifting farmers through various agriculture-related programs. The summit, which included the 1st Northeast India Organic Week cum Buyer Seller Meet, aimed at fostering learning and sharing for farmers.
Sangma noted that organic farming is rooted in traditional practices and aims to integrate agricultural and tourism sectors to promote organic farming and entrepreneurship. He expressed hopes that the summit would enhance knowledge sharing and networking globally. Additionally, the Organic Meghalaya Compendium and the website, Megnolia, were launched at the event.
