The Kohima Bench of the Gauhati High Court has launched the GHCKB App, becoming the first High Court bench in Northeast India to offer such a platform. Unveiled by Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar, the app aims to enhance judicial services by providing real-time information, case-tracking tools, and improved access to court proceedings for both lawyers and litigants.
The app, developed in-house, promotes transparency and is compatible with most devices. It features daily cause lists, live-streaming of court sessions, and includes a WhatsApp channel for updates. The app serves to bridge the gap between the court and the public, addressing common challenges in accessing court information.
