Sony India has launched the new Alpha ILCE-7V, promoted as an all-round camera designed to support emerging creators with AI-powered subject tracking, faster recognition and improved image quality. The company claims this generation sets a fresh benchmark for hybrid photo-video users by combining fast autofocus with enhanced colour performance and 4K video options.
With dynamic autofocus tracking, blackout-free continuous shooting up to 30fps and pre-capture recording, the camera is aimed at users shooting fast action including sports, wildlife, and pets. The video system also introduces 7K oversampled 4K 60p and 4K 120p options, supported by advanced stabilisation for handheld shooting.
Youth creator communities in Guwahati, including vloggers and photo clubs, say camera-based content creation has expanded rapidly across Assam, boosted by social media and travel vlogging across Kaziranga, Majuli and Meghalaya. Many local users have shifted from smartphones toward mirrorless devices, and the new ILCE-7V is expected to be seen as a long-term upgrade option.
The camera will be available from 10 December with the body priced at Rs 2,55,990.
