At the Women’s T20 World Cup, IndusInd Bank felicitates Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team for their historic win

IndusInd Bank’s long-term investment in inclusive sports through its CSR initiatives came into focus after it felicitated the Indian Women’s Blind Cricket Team for winning the Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind. The bank, in partnership with the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), hosted a special ceremony in Mumbai to honour the team and announced a cash reward for the players. The programme highlighted the role of structured corporate support in building competitive sports platforms for the visually impaired.

Bank MD and CEO Rajiv Anand said the partnership with CABI reflects IndusInd Bank’s commitment to creating an inclusive ecosystem where talent can grow with confidence. CABI Chairman Dr. Mahantesh Kivadasannavar credited the bank’s decade-long support for helping blind cricketers gain recognition, jobs, and financial security.

In Guwahati, banking and CSR experts noted that such initiatives strengthen the bank’s brand trust while also delivering real social impact. Several organisations working with persons with disabilities in Assam said the success story could attract more private-sector participation in inclusive sports.

Under its “IndusInd Bank Cricket for Blind” programme, the bank supports over 700 blind cricketers nationwide by providing training, equipment, accommodation, counselling, and match support, enabling players to compete successfully at international levels.
