To assess the situation after the recent violent incidents in West Karbi Anglong district, a delegation of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today visited the affected area. The delegation, deputed by APCC president Gaurav Gogoi for a spot inquiry, reached the violence-hit Kheroni area of Karbi Anglong and took stock of the prevailing situation.
During the visit, the Congress delegation also visited the residences of the late Linus Phangs and Suraj De, who lost their lives in the recent unrest, paid floral tributes, and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.
