With ORSL™ and eRZL™ offering complete hydration, Kenvue strengthens its hydration portfolio in India

Kenvue has strengthened its presence in India’s hydration segment by announcing a dual-brand strategy featuring ORSL and the newly introduced eRZL, aimed at addressing both diarrheal dehydration and everyday hydration needs. The company said the move supports its “Double Power for Complete Hydration” approach as dehydration continues to emerge as a major public health concern.

Under the strategy, ORSL will serve as the company’s oral rehydration salts (ORS) portfolio based on the World Health Organization formula, available in ready-to-drink and powder formats to manage diarrheal dehydration. Meanwhile, effective January 2026, eRZL becomes the new brand name for the company’s electrolyte drinks portfolio, targeting daily hydration and recovery from tiredness and exhaustion. The improved eRZL composition offers faster hydration, 1.4 times more electrolytes, and eight times less sugar than the previous formulation, while combining sodium, potassium, chloride, vitamin C, and real fruit juice.

Manish Anandani, Managing Director-India, Kenvue, said the strategy reflects the company’s continued focus on science-backed hydration solutions and expanding awareness around hydration for both illness and everyday care. Industry observers believe the introduction of differentiated products like ORSL and eRZL could intensify competition in the region’s fast-growing hydration and wellness category.
