Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary visited the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, underlining the government’s focus on using artificial intelligence to drive inclusive growth and human capital development.
The pavilion showcased India-first AI solutions demonstrating how artificial intelligence can improve productivity, strengthen livelihoods and expand access to opportunities across sectors. A key highlight was the skilling framework built around “Skilling in AI, Skilling with AI and Skilling for AI,” featuring initiatives such as SOAR (Skilling for AI Readiness), industry-aligned nano-credentials and NSQF-approved emerging job roles. Visitors also experienced micro-learning modules, interactive installations and AI-enabled dashboards aimed at expanding AI literacy.
A major attraction was the AI-powered recommendation engine developed by the National Skill Development Corporation under SIDH, which offers personalised career and training guidance by integrating learning, certification and employment pathways. Interactive demonstrations also showed how AI tools can assist farmers, electricians, construction workers and weavers in improving productivity and income. In Guwahati, AI-driven skilling platforms and recommendation systems can significantly benefit youth and informal workers in the Northeast by improving access to training, certification and industry-linked employment opportunities, helping regional markets align with emerging technology-led job demands.
