In a major step to strengthen India’s digital skilling economy, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Shri Jayant Chaudhary on Saturday launched the nationwide campaign “Badhna Hai Toh Yahan Judna Hai” to expand the reach of Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH). The campaign was unveiled on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
Actor Amitabh Bachchan has joined the initiative to widen public participation in SIDH, which has already onboarded over 1.5 crore registered candidates, emerging as one of India’s largest unified digital skilling platforms. Built as a mobile-first, AI-enabled system, SIDH integrates multiple government schemes and offers industry-aligned courses, LMS-enabled learning, personalized recommendations, Aadhaar-based eKYC, OTP access, QR-enabled digital CVs, verified credentials and access in more than 21 Indian languages. The platform caters to students, graduates, working professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, aiming to remove barriers of access, language and credibility.
Chaudhary said the platform builds on India’s digital public infrastructure such as India Stack and positions SIDH as a key driver of lifelong learning and economic opportunity in an AI-driven economy.
In Guwahati, education consultants and training centres report growing interest in digital and AI-linked skill courses. Industry observers believe the campaign could accelerate SIDH registrations in Assam and the Northeast as awareness spreads through digital and QR-enabled touchpoints.
