Tezpur University finishes 3rd in literary category, qualifies for 39th AIU National Youth Festival

Tezpur University has secured the third position in the literary category at the Inter-University Youth Festival, earning the title of 2nd Runners-Up in Literary Events. With this performance, the university has also qualified for the 39th AIU National Youth Festival.

The achievement reflects the steady focus of the university on literary and cultural development among students. Participants from different departments took part in several competitions and brought multiple awards to the institution.

Rahul Rohan Paul, a postgraduate student of Mass Communication and Journalism, delivered a strong performance in the literary events. He won the second position and a silver medal in Hindi Elocution. He also secured second place in the English Debate along with Manash Pratim Dutta, earning another silver medal for the team. Rahul further added to the tally by finishing fourth in English Elocution.

In the music category, Shashank Gohain secured the third position in Western Instrumental Solo, contributing important points to the university’s overall score.

Apart from these major wins, the university also recorded fourth positions in Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Western Vocal Solo, Folk Dance, Skit, Mime, and English Elocution. Fifth positions were secured in several events including Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), One Act Play, Folk Orchestra, Classical Dance, Indian Light Classical Vocal, Western Chorus, Group Song (Indian), Quiz, and Creative Choreography.

With these results, Tezpur University has qualified for the 39th AIU National Youth Festival, which will be held at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai.
