New Renault Duster TCe Turbo 160 achieves ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 18.45 km/l

Renault India has announced ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures for the new Renault Duster powered by the Turbo TCe 160 engine, reinforcing its focus on performance and efficiency. The SUV delivers 18.45 km/l with the DCT automatic transmission and 17.75 km/l with the 6-speed manual variant. Dr V Vikraman, Chief of Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said the certified figures reflect the company’s technological strength and commitment to delivering superior value. He noted that the Turbo 160 engine uses advanced features such as low-friction coatings and high-pressure fuel injection to optimise combustion and efficiency, while the latest DCT transmission ensures seamless gear shifts and responsive performance.

Engineered for Indian driving conditions, the new Duster produces 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful offering in its segment. Renault said the model combines strong performance with best-in-class ride and handling, supported by an optimised powertrain design.

In Guwahati, the new Duster is expected to attract strong interest due to rising demand for powerful yet fuel-efficient SUVs suited to varied terrain and long-distance travel in the Northeast. Dealers anticipate that the balance of performance and mileage could position the model competitively in the region. Renault India, a subsidiary of Renault S.A.S., manufactures vehicles at its Oragadam facility in Chennai and operates over 350 sales and 450 service touchpoints nationwide.
