Singapore Open Badminton: Satwik-Chirag Advance; PV Sindhu Enters Quarterfinals

Indian shuttler and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu has advanced to the women’s singles quarterfinals of the Singapore Open badminton tournament after maintaining her physical fitness. In the pre-quarterfinal match, Sindhu faced Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara. Sindhu managed to knock out her opponent from the very beginning of the match. Sinner did not allow her opponent any major surprises, controlling both games of the match efficiently.
With a straight-game victory of 21–9, 21–12, Sindhu entered the quarterfinals of the tournament. She will now face the tournament’s top seed, South Korea’s An Se-young, in the quarterfinal clash.
Meanwhile, the top Indian men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also kept their campaign alive in the tournament by defeating a Chinese Taipei pair to secure their advancement.
