With a colorful inauguration program, the ‘Green Meadows Tennis Academy’ was formally opened on Thursday at Green Meadows School located in Bagharbari. Former state tennis champion and President of the Guwahati Tennis Association, Kalyan Kumar Das, inaugurated this new academy in the presence of distinguished individuals.
Speaking on the occasion, Das highly praised this step taken by the school management to promote the game of tennis among young players. He stated that the continuous development of more tennis academies in Guwahati is a very promising sign, and he expressed hope that this new facility will help nurture upcoming sporting talent.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Director of Green Meadows School, Farida Alam, Principal Mridusmita Talukdar, and Vice-Principal Zaki Tanveer Alam. It is hoped that under the supervision of Shahidul Alam and Rijurana Begum, this academy will provide aspiring young tennis players with the opportunity to train in a disciplined environment and enhance their skills.
