TVS Motor Company has partnered with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) to accelerate sustainable last-mile LPG cylinder distribution across India by deploying its TVS King Kargo HD commercial vehicles through IndianOil’s extensive network of more than 13,000 LPG distributors. The strategic collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Coimbatore, is aimed at advancing cleaner, more efficient and cost-effective commercial mobility while supporting the country’s transition to green logistics.
Under the agreement, TVS Motor will supply its King Kargo HD range for doorstep LPG cylinder deliveries, enabling distributors to improve operational efficiency, lower total ownership costs and reduce carbon emissions. The collaboration will begin with the first phase of vehicle deliveries to IndianOil distributors across the country. TVS Motor said the King Kargo HD platforms offer advanced technology, superior power and segment-leading features designed for reliable last-mile cargo transportation. TVS Motor Business Head, Commercial Mobility, Rajat Gupta, said the partnership would help businesses improve productivity while making sustainable mobility more practical and accessible. IndianOil Executive Director, SR & SH-TNSO, V. C. Asokan, said the induction of electric cargo vehicles would modernise the LPG distribution ecosystem, enhance fleet productivity, reduce operating costs and contribute to India’s clean mobility goals.
In Guwahati, the partnership is expected to create new opportunities for LPG distributors and commercial fleet operators looking to adopt cleaner transport solutions. With Assam witnessing rising demand for efficient last-mile logistics, the rollout of TVS King Kargo HD vehicles could support faster adoption of sustainable cargo mobility while helping distributors improve delivery efficiency and reduce long-term operating expenses.
