HP India has announced the availability of the HP OmniPad 12, an India-first 2-in-1 device aimed at students, first-time users, MSMEs and young professionals, as the company looks to address growing demand for flexible computing devices. The OmniPad 12 combines tablet portability with laptop-style productivity through a detachable keyboard and runs on Android 16 with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

The device features a 12-inch 2K multi-touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 400 nits brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 18 hours of battery life, weighs 600 grams in tablet mode and comes with 8GB LPDDR5 memory and expandable storage of up to 1TB through a microSD card. Quad speakers with DTS Ultra, dual microphones, an 8MP front camera and 13MP rear camera support online learning, video meetings and content creation.

For students and businesses, HP has preloaded iPrep, Lexillion and Brands.live applications. HP Senior Director–Personal Systems VineetGehani said the device was designed around how India’s diverse users learn, work and create.

In Guwahati, the OmniPad 12 could find demand among students, educators, MSMEs and mobile professionals seeking a single device for learning, business communication and entertainment. Its Rs 48,999 starting price positions it in the premium tablet and entry-level laptop segment, while offline availability through HP World and major retail chains could strengthen its reach in the city.

Available in Denim Blue and Meteor Silver, the device is sold through HP’s online store, Amazon, Reliance, Flipkart, Croma, Vijay Sales and HP World. Launch offers include Rs 5,000 cashback on select SBI and HDFC credit cards and a one-year free AI subscription package.
