Defence and aerospace major Sigma Advanced Systems has secured an additional long-term agreement worth nearly £125 million, or approximately ₹1,600 crore, with Rolls-Royce, strengthening its presence in the global aerospace supply chain following the acquisition of UK-based Bromford Precision Solutions. The latest deal comes on top of a recently secured long-term agreement worth around £300 million, or approximately ₹3,800 crore, significantly expanding Sigma’s relationship with the global aerospace engine manufacturer and boosting long-term revenue visibility.
Through Bromford Precision Solutions, based in Leicester, Sigma will manufacture aero-engine rings, casings, lock plates and other critical engine structures across its manufacturing facilities in India and the UK. The agreement will provide Rolls-Royce with a broader dual-source manufacturing solution. Sigma said the Bromford acquisition has added complementary capabilities in aero-engine rings, casings and advanced precision manufacturing, allowing the group to expand its portfolio of complex engine components and deepen its engagement with existing customers.
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Sunil Kalidindi said the agreement reflected growing confidence among global OEMs in India’s engineering depth, quality and manufacturing scale. With Bromford and Nasmyth operating as complementary businesses under its UK aerospace platform, Sigma is pursuing targeted acquisitions to broaden technical capabilities, strengthen customer relationships and increase participation in high-value, long-duration aerospace programmes. The agreement is also expected to secure Bromford’s long-term future as a key UK manufacturing site, safeguarding skilled engineering and manufacturing jobs.
