Nestlé India has extended relief support to communities affected by floods in Nagaland, Odisha and Assam, working with local administrations to provide essential supplies to vulnerable families.
In Nagaland, the company, following outreach to the District Commissioner of Mon, provided 1,000 grocery kits to flood-affected communities. The District Administration and local civil bodies assisted in distributing the relief materials.
In Odisha’s Bhadrak district, relief assistance was extended to affected communities in Chandbali Tehsil and Tihidi Block, comprising 3,000 grocery kits and 1,000 hygiene kits.
In Assam, Nestlé India coordinated with the District Commissioners of Jorhat and Sivasagar to provide 4,000 grocery kits, with 2,000 kits allocated to affected communities in each district. The Assam Disaster Relief Team and local authorities supported the distribution.
In Kohima, the relief initiative comes as communities and local institutions continue to respond to the impact of flooding in parts of Nagaland. The involvement of the district administration and local civil bodies in distributing essential grocery supplies highlights the importance of coordinated relief efforts in ensuring assistance reaches affected households.
Kunwar Himmat Singh, Head, Corporate Affairs, Sustainability and CSR, Nestlé India, said the company aimed to support communities whenever and wherever assistance was needed, adding that its teams had come together to help those affected.
