Mahindra broadens Veero portfolio with new CNG model and upgraded diesel range

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has expanded its presence in India’s light commercial vehicle segment with the launch of the Veero 1.1 XXL CNG and an upgraded Veero Diesel, as the automaker looks to strengthen its multi-energy commercial vehicle portfolio built on the Urban Prosper Platform (UPP).

The new Veero 1.1 XXL CNG is aimed at intra-city logistics and offers a 1.1-tonne payload with a 2,900-mm cargo deck. Powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 48.5 kW and 98 Nm, it delivers ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 21.4 km/kg and a combined Petrol+CNG driving range of more than 450 km. Mahindra is targeting FMCG distribution, e-commerce, courier, market-load and produce transportation applications.

The upgraded Veero Diesel gains a 26.03-cm touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and multilingual voice commands, alongside cruise control and LNT technology. It also gets remote AC control through the iMAXX connected platform, joining more than 50 connected features.

The CNG range starts at ₹8.25 lakh, while the diesel range starts at ₹8.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The upgraded diesel is available from September 8, while CNG deliveries are planned from September 20, 2026.

Mahindra said the Veero, launched in September 2024, has strengthened its proposition through mileage, performance, safety and segment-first features.
