Digital investing is gaining ground in Nagaland, with Groww accounting for 32 per cent of the National Stock Exchange’s active investor base in the state as of June 2026, according to data released by the investment platform.
The figure means roughly one in every three active investors in Nagaland uses Groww, as increasing smartphone adoption, internet access and financial awareness encourage greater participation in capital markets across the Northeast.
Young investors form a significant part of the platform’s user base in the state. Around 27 per cent of Groww investors in Nagaland are below 25 years of age, while 31 per cent are aged between 25 and 30. Women account for about 26 per cent of Groww’s investors in the state, indicating growing female participation in the investment ecosystem.
Across the eight Northeast states, Groww users account for nearly 24 per cent of the NSE investor base of 36.31 lakh. Sikkim recorded a 41 per cent share, followed by Arunachal Pradesh at 40 per cent and Tripura at 37 per cent.
In Kohima, the data points to increasing interest among younger and digitally connected investors in market-linked products, although the state’s investment landscape continues to be influenced by the pace of financial awareness and digital adoption.
