The kick-off at Flipkart’s Bengaluru campus brought together senior executives and employees as preparations began for the festive shopping period. Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said more than 1.4 million sellers are set to use the platform to reach millions of customers, with the event expanding digital commerce opportunities for small businesses and consumers in smaller towns.
The launch was attended by Ravi Iyer, Seema Nair, Sakait Chaudhary, Balaji Thiagarajan, Hemant Badri and Rajneesh Kumar. Actor Aneet Padda also joined the celebrations.
Badri, SVP and Head of Supply Chain, led the flag-off of a convoy of Flipkart Wishmasters, signalling the start of the company’s festive delivery operations.
From a business and operational perspective, TBBD will deploy Flipkart’s most extensive supply chain network to date, spanning more than 8,200 fulfilment and delivery facilities through Ekart and Flipkart Minutes. The company is also highlighting AI-powered shopping experiences and record seller participation.
Flipkart said employee support measures include 24×7 medical assistance, rest areas, meals, transport, safety measures and wellness activities. Early Access for Plus, BLACK and Flipkart credit card members began on October 8.
