Assam Minister denies links with PSO accused of sexual exploitation, blackmail

Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal has said that he has no connection with Chakreshwar Mili, who was accused by a 22-year-old nursing student of sexual exploitation, blackmail, and sharing her intimate videos without her consent.
In a post on X, Singhal made it clear that Mili was never his personal security officer (PSO).
“According to recent media reports, a woman has lodged a complaint at the Paltan Bazar Police Outpost against a personal security officer (PSO), alleging that the individual is connected to me. I wish to categorically clarify that the said individual is not my PSO and has never been appointed or engaged by me in any capacity. The allegation suggesting otherwise is entirely baseless,” he said.
“I urge everyone not to be misled by misinformation or attempts to create a false impression around this matter. I trust that an impartial investigation will establish the facts and bring the truth to light,” Singhal stated.
The woman alleged that Mili was already married, but still wanted her to stay with him. “He has been harassing me a lot. He told me that I must compromise, that even though he has a wife, I must stay with him secretly and must not love anyone else. All this time he was cheating me with the promise of marriage,” she alleged.
