Sankardev Vidya Niketan, Dakhin Vidyanagar in Hojai, hosted an environmental awareness workshop in an effort to inform students about the value of sustainable practices and environmental protection during the summer break. Along with lecture demonstrations addressing topics including pollution, waste management, water conservation, forests and wildlife, and the need for conservation, the program featured a variety of activities, including talk-interaction and hands-on demonstrations.
The event, which was started by Dr. Prodip Kumar Sahoo, representative of the Enviroculture Conservation Foundation, was designed to encourage people to take tiny efforts toward a brighter future on a personal level and to instill a sense of responsibility. As an integral component of the Van Mahotsav, a reforestation program was also carried out on the school grounds by all of the participants. Seventy people participated in the activity, including students, teachers, the KV range’s range officer and his staff, Tapan Sarma, the institution’s head, Arjun Sen, a representative of the school governing committee, and others. Every participant pledged to adhere to the activities for the environment’s well-being.
