The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 in February next year. Ahead of the registration process, the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in – has been launched, and registration process for the same will begin from August 25.
Candidates can apply without a late fee until September 25, while the extended application window, with a late fee, will remain open until October 6. The examination is scheduled to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Results will be announced on March 19 the same year.
Candidates currently in the third year or beyond of any undergraduate programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities, or those who have completed such programmes from recognised institutions, are eligible to apply. Those holding certifications deemed equivalent to relevant degrees by MoE, AICTE, UGC, or UPSC are also eligible. International candidates with equivalent qualifications have also been instructed to apply.
