The Assam State government is developing a Heat Action Plan and SOP to address the increasing heatwave in the region. 17 departments and agencies have been asked to create a specific heat action plan for Assam. The plans will be integrated into the Heat Action Plan for Assam. The State Disaster Management Authority is also being directed to create extreme heat-related awareness materials. The Power department will collaborate with the Department of School Education to install solar panels as an alternative energy source.
