Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, in partnership with Pixis Global and Quals.AI, has released its Women Term Survey 2025, highlighting a shift in women’s financial priorities towards securing their children’s future through term insurance. Covering over 1,000 salaried and self-employed women across metro, tier 1, and tier 2 cities, the survey found that 73% of mothers are concerned about funding their child’s education in their absence, while 61% worry about ensuring financial stability during unforeseen events.
Term insurance emerged as the most preferred product, with 46% of women opting for it to safeguard their child’s future. Key features women seek include critical illness coverage (87%), health management services (57%), and child income protection (93%). Flexibility, maturity benefits, and education-specific financial support are also high on the list.
In Guwahati, insurance advisors report a rise in young mothers seeking comprehensive term plans. “There’s a noticeable shift among women towards financial independence and long-term planning,” said a local agent. Products offering health-linked riders and child-specific benefits are gaining traction in the region, reflecting the national trend. Bajaj Allianz Life plans to tailor future offerings to address these emerging needs.
