A vibrant celebration of excellence and innovation unfolded at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati, during the Mirchi Excellence Award 2025, powered by the Byatikram Group in association with Versatilis Legal LLP as Legal Advocacy Partner, Radisson Blu as Hospitality Partner, Diageo as Celebration Partner, Prag News as Exclusive Electronics Media Partner, and The Sentinel as Print Media Partner. The event paid tribute to exceptional individuals from Northeast India, recognising their achievements across various sectors and highlighting the region’s remarkable talent, entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership. Commencing at 5 PM, the gala evening drew an eclectic gathering of distinguished guests, industry leaders, artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. The event was graced by an impressive lineup of distinguished personalities, including Seema Biswas, the acclaimed Bollywood actress celebrated for her iconic role in Bandit Queen; Chetana Das, the beloved Assamese actress known as the “Comedy Queen” of Assamese cinema; Jatin Bora, the popular Assamese actor and director; and Rima Das, the National Award-winning filmmaker whose works have garnered widespread acclaim. Also present were Prof. Dr. Nachiketa Tripathi, a noted filmmaker and scholar; Lion Pankaj Kumar Poddar, an advocate and dedicated social worker; Rekha Das, an actor, model, and educationist; and P. S. Reddy, the Managing Director of Sai Vikash Group of Institutions.
The gathering further included Nikumoni Bauah, a noted Assamese film actress; Amaresh Roy and Rajib Kr. Bhattacharyya, both respected businessmen and social activists; Pratip Das, Station Head of ENIL (Radio Mirchi); and Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Patron-in-Chief of the Byatikram Group. The entire event was elegantly hosted by emcee Mrigashree Baruah while the red carpet buzz was brought to life through elegant and engaging interviews conducted by Anushka Lekharu. One of the cultural highlights was an impressive Sattriya Bhortaal dance performance by students of Sanskriti, a renowned dance and music institute founded by Jolly Moni Saikia, recipient of the Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
