Condemns violence against Hindu minorities and crimes against women by sit-in protest by Sanatani Akiya Manch

In support of the protests occurring across Assam, the Sanatani Akiya Manch organized a sit-in protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Dima Hasao, Haflong. The demonstration called for an immediate end to Swami Chinmayanand Das’s alleged torture and denounced the recent violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. The demonstrators told the media that they were deeply troubled by the horrors that Sanatani Hindus had to endure around the world and that India had changed and was ready to deal with such tragedies head-on.

In order to effectively and collectively address these issues, they urged the Hindu community to come together. In addition, the protesters brought attention to the growing number of crimes against women in Dima Hasao, specifically bringing up a recent example of molestation involving a young girl from the Zeme village. In order to ensure justice for the victims, they encouraged the district administration and police to take strong action against the offenders.

The demonstration praised the girl’s bravery for coming out to report the assault and encouraged other women to do the same to stop these kinds of atrocities. The organizers emphasized the significance of resolving rape and molestation concerns immediately and establishing a safer atmosphere for women. A strong desire for justice, safety, and a peaceful society was represented in the demonstration.
