The market for immunity-boosting foods is witnessing steady growth as consumers increasingly prioritize health and wellness. Experts highlight that adding almonds, citrus fruits, garlic, and leafy greens to daily diets can help strengthen immunity, fueling demand across retail and wholesale markets.

“Sheela Krishnaswamy, Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, emphasizes the importance of natural foods in supporting immune function. Almonds, packed with 15 essential nutrients, including vitamin E, zinc, folate, and iron, have gained popularity. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) also recognizes the role of almonds in boosting immunity.

Similarly, citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and grapefruit provide vital vitamin C, essential for infection resistance. Garlic, known for its antibacterial properties due to allicin, and leafy greens rich in vitamins A and C, further contribute to a healthy immune system.”
