Godrej Aer introduces the Aer Plug, the most reasonably priced electric room freshener in India, which costs Rs 2.5 each day

Godrej aer, India’s leading fragrance brand under Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), has launched aer Plug, positioned as the country’s most affordable electric room freshener. Priced at just ₹149, the device offers continuous fragrance for up to 60 days, translating to a usage cost of only ₹2.5 per day. The aer Plug comes in two premium variants – Violet Bloom and Rose Blossom – and is designed to blend seamlessly into contemporary homes and offices.

Crafted by GCPL’s in-house design studio Disco, the aer Plug features smart heater technology and a sleek, modern design. With India’s ₹3,000 crore air freshener market projected to double in the next five years, Godrej aims to bridge the gap between expensive electric diffusers and widely used sprays, which dominate the ₹1,000 crore segment. “With aer Plug, we bring premium fragrance within reach, reducing cost by over 70% compared to existing electric diffusers,” said Shilpa Suresh, Head of Marketing – Home Care, GCPL.

The aer Plug is expected to appeal strongly to urban consumers and office spaces in Guwahati, where demand for affordable yet premium home care solutions is rising. Retailers in key outlets have reported encouraging early traction, signaling strong local adoption potential. The starter kit is available at ₹149, with standalone refills priced at ₹99, across modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce platforms nationwide.
