The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched the registration process for IndiaSkills Competition (ISC) 2025—India’s flagship skill excellence platform aimed at discovering and nurturing world-class talent. With 63 skill categories open for participation, the competition will draw candidates from all 36 states and union territories. Registrations are open on the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) portal until September 30, 2025.
Open to Indian nationals aged 16 to 25, ISC 2025 is a gateway to represent India at the WorldSkills Competition 2026, the world’s largest vocational skills event. Participants will compete through two tracks—state-level contests conducted by State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), and skill-specific assessments led by Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). Both lead to regional rounds, national boot camps, and the final national competition.
Guwahati is poised to witness heightened activity, with training institutions and skill hubs preparing to mobilize youth participation. The Northeast region, known for its emerging talent in hospitality, IT, and design, sees this as a major opportunity to bridge skill gaps and boost employment prospects.
