INDIAWOOD 2026 showcases leadership vision driving India’s woodworking and furniture manufacturing growth

Strategic leadership and long-term industry planning will be in focus as INDIAWOOD 2026 returns from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Organised by NürnbergMesse India with support from EUMABOIS, the 26th edition is positioned as the largest in the platform’s history.

The exhibition will bring together over 1,000 brands from more than 50 countries, host 90,000+ industry professionals, and span 85,000 square metres representing 15 per cent growth over the previous edition. Industry leaders view this expansion as a reflection of India’s growing managerial confidence and execution capability, aligned with the Viksit Bharat vision emphasising advanced manufacturing, exports and global integration.

Sonia Prashar, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India, said INDIAWOOD 2026 reflects the maturity and global ambition of Indian manufacturers, highlighting leadership focus on technology adoption, sustainability and workforce skill development to compete internationally.

From a strategic standpoint, momentum is being reinforced by progress on the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”. The pact is expected to ease tariffs, improve access to European markets, and enable smoother inflows of advanced machinery supporting informed capital investment and operational scaling.

INDIAWOOD 2026 will highlight leadership-led shifts towards automation, Industry 4.0, sustainable materials and smart manufacturing. Platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the co-located India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo further strengthen coordinated decision-making across the value chain, supporting a furniture market projected to reach USD 40 billion by 2030.
