“Kaushal Manthan 2025”, a flagship workshop organised by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), set the tone for India’s future skilling roadmap under the theme “Collective Vision for a Skilled Bharat”. The event commenced with a two-minute silence led by MoS Jayant Chaudhary to honour the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack—signaling a commitment to unity and resilience.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders from ministries, academia, Sector Skill Councils, and industry bodies including Microsoft, FICCI, CII, and NABARD. MSDE Secretary Atul Kumar Tiwari highlighted the need to align training with market demands, integrate global standards, and promote lifelong learning. Sessions focused on boosting vocational education, increasing female enrolment, and creating district-level entrepreneurial hubs with financial literacy and mentorship support.
A key highlight was Microsoft’s presentation on integrating AI in curriculum design, assessments, and certification—positioning India for a tech-driven skilling revolution. In Guwahati, entrepreneurs welcomed the emphasis on local enterprise development and tech-integrated skilling. With vibrant trade activity, Guwahati’s market stands to benefit from district-level hubs and demand-based training, enabling youth to tap into retail, logistics, and digital services with future-ready skills. Insights from the workshop will guide progressive policy shifts in India’s skilling ecosystem.
