KRAFTON India has launched Beyond Battlegrounds, a powerful digital storytelling initiative celebrating the creativity of grassroots gamers across India. The campaign opens with the remarkable journey of Karan Kargwal, a 28-year-old railway technician from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, who built a life-sized replica of BGMI’s iconic buggy atop his home—using only scrap metal, an old motorcycle engine, and sheer determination.
Kargwal, with no formal training in engineering or design, crafted the buggy using gameplay visuals and documented the process on Instagram. His reels quickly went viral, drawing over 220,000 followers—95% from Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities. Recognizing the impact, BGMI backed his vision, turning it into a national campaign that highlights how gaming is transforming into a medium of identity and innovation.
Dimapur has seen a significant uptick in mobile gaming adoption, particularly among youth in the 18–30 age group. With increasing access to smartphones and mobile internet, local gamers are actively engaging with platforms like BGMI, not just as players but as aspiring creators. KRAFTON’s initiative is expected to inspire more from Dimapur to turn digital passion into real-world projects.
