Linoka K Achumi was crowned Miss Nagaland 2025 at a grand finale held in Kohima on Thursday evening. The event took place as part of the ongoing Hornbill Festival, and the venue was filled with loud cheers as the new winner was announced. The programme drew a large crowd, and the evening carried a simple yet warm festive mood that reflected the spirit of the people gathered there. The beauty pageant was organised by the Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland along with the Departments of Tourism and Higher Education. The organisers said the event was meant to showcase young talents from across the state and give them a platform to express themselves. The stage was set in the backdrop of the Hornbill Festival, which added more colour and excitement to the night.
Linoka stood out throughout the competition. Along with winning the main crown, she also received two subtitle honours — Miss Multimedia and Miss Talent. These recognitions showed that she performed strongly in every round of the contest. Many in the audience praised her confidence, clarity and the way she presented herself. The first runner-up title went to Bendanliena, while Christina H Yeptho was named the second runner-up. Both contestants also received warm applause from the audience for their efforts and performance.
This year’s pageant put a simple yet strong spotlight on Naga culture, identity and creativity. Participants appeared in outfits that reflected traditional designs as well as modern fashion, showing how young Naga women are carrying forward their heritage while also embracing new opportunities.
