Medanta leads Indian healthcare rankings in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026 report

Medanta – The Medicity, operated by Global Health Limited, has secured the No. 1 position in India in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026 rankings, conducted in collaboration with Statista Inc.. The recognition marks the seventh consecutive year that Medanta has featured among the world’s leading hospitals, reinforcing its standing in the competitive healthcare services market.

The 2026 edition assessed over 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries, including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia and Canada. Rankings were based on a multi-layered evaluation framework comprising recommendations from thousands of medical experts, patient experience data, hospital quality indicators, and a Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey. The methodology highlights a growing industry focus on measurable outcomes and patient-centric performance benchmarks.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, said the recognition reflects Medanta’s continued investment in clinical excellence, innovation and accessibility, guided by its philosophy “HarEkJaan Anmol” (Every Life Is Invaluable).

The hospital’s strategic investments in AI, robotics and automation underline its digital transformation roadmap, strengthening infrastructure, research capabilities and outcome-driven care delivery across domestic and international patient segments.
