Medanta, Nagaland Govt, IDAN launch healthbooklet to promote preventive care

The Medicity, Gurgaon, ranked India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six years, has partnered with the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and the state government to launch a health awareness booklet aimed at legislators and senior officials.

Conceptualized by Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and supported by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, the booklet titled “A Guide to Better Health” was launched by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Copies have been distributed among 60 MLAs and more than 150 senior bureaucrats, with digital versions planned for wider public access, said Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and IDAN Chair.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, highlighted the hospital’s ethos of prevention, stressing the importance of balanced nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and timely screenings. The city’s fast-paced business environment and rising incidence of lifestyle diseases among traders and professionals highlight the need for awareness-driven solutions. Health handbooks of this kind can help reduce long-term medical costs while promoting productivity.
