Medanta’s cardio-renal push, expansion plans set to reshape Northeast healthcare sector

The Medicity, Gurgaon, voted India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, is strengthening its market footprint through advanced interventions in coronary artery disease (CAD), valvular heart disease (VHD), and interconnected metabolic disorders like Cardio-Renal-Hepatic-Diabetic Metabolic Syndrome (CRHD-MS).

At a medical session in Itanagar, Dr. Praveen Chandra, Chairman of Interventional Cardiology, highlighted next-generation solutions including robotic-assisted surgery, TAVR, minimally invasive valve repair, and hybrid angioplasty techniques. “Early detection and timely intervention remain the most cost-effective strategy, reducing hospital stays, complications, and overall treatment costs,” he said.

Dr. Debabrata Mukherjee, Senior Director of Nephrology, underlined the need for integrated, cross-specialty strategies to curb the economic and health burden of chronic kidney and cardiac diseases, which often impact entire families and communities. Medanta, founded by Dr. Naresh Trehan, currently operates five hospitals and is expanding into Guwahati, Mumbai, Noida, and Delhi, strengthening its pan-India presence.
