Škoda Auto India has marked a major business milestone for its compact SUV Škoda Kylaq, which has crossed 50,000 cumulative sales within a year of launch. The achievement comes during the brand’s strongest-ever sales phase in India, following a record performance in 2025, and reinforces the Kylaq’s position as a key growth driver in the sub-4m SUV segment.
To sustain momentum, the company announced a strategic expansion of the Kylaq portfolio from four to six variants, now offered across 11 price points. A new Classic+ variant has been introduced between Classic and Signature trims, making the Kylaq the most accessible model in its segment with a full-fledged torque converter automatic. At the top end, a new Prestige+ variant has been added. Feature democratisation across the range includes electric sunroof, cruise control, Auto IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, multi-function steering wheel and LED lighting, now available across more trims.
Safety remains a strong pillar, with the Kylaq retaining the highest Bharat NCAP ratings among ICE vehicles in its segment, six airbags standard across variants, extended warranty, roadside assistance and labour-free service packages.
Commenting on the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the expansion reflects rising customer trust and the brand’s long-term India strategy. In Guwahati, dealers report steady traction for the Kylaq, driven by demand for safe, automatic-equipped compact SUVs with European build appeal. The expanded variant mix and limited-period anniversary benefits of up to ₹50,000, along with discounted maintenance packages valid till February 28, 2026, are expected to further strengthen Škoda’s positioning in the Northeast’s fast-evolving urban auto market.
