Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) reported a 23 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated sales in February 2026, with total dispatches rising to 10,565 units, driven by steady domestic demand and robust export performance. Domestic wholesales stood at 2,230 units during the month, while exports surged to 8,335 units, underscoring India’s growing contribution to Nissan’s global operations. The company said February marked a key milestone with the launch of the all-new Nissan GRAVITE. Following an overwhelming market response and strong booking momentum across regions, customer deliveries of the GRAVITE commenced from March 1 across the country.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said February had been an important and forward-looking month for the company. He said the consolidated performance reflected stable underlying demand and continued export strength, reaffirming India’s strategic importance. He added that with deliveries of the GRAVITE underway, the coming months were expected to reflect stronger portfolio momentum.
Nissan said sustained traction for the Nissan Magnite and the positive response to the GRAVITE would anchor its next phase of growth, supported by an expanding network footprint and sharper market focus.
In Guwahati, dealers indicated steady enquiries for compact SUVs, particularly in the sub-4 metre and mid-size segments. Improved connectivity and rising purchasing power in Assam and neighbouring northeastern states are expected to further support Nissan’s retail momentum in the region.
