Operation Sindoor is highlighted by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh as a prime example of civil-military fusion, where the administrative sector collaborated effectively with the Armed Forces to impart crucial information and instill public confidence. Speaking at the 100th Common Foundation Course valedictory in Mussoorie on November 29, 2025, he urged young civil servants to appreciate their vital role in national security, akin to the bravery of soldiers. The operation involved the Armed Forces successfully destroying terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as a measured response to ongoing hostilities. Singh acknowledged the administrative officers for their vital role in disseminating information and conducting mock drills, advocating for enhanced coordination between governance and national security to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principle of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’, underscoring the importance of civil servants in promoting self-reliance and national development. The shift in India’s economic position, rising from 11th to 4th largest economy within a decade, highlights this progress, with projections of becoming the third-largest economy soon. Singh called for civil servants to embody integrity and accountability, ensuring that honesty becomes a standard practice rather than an exception in their service to the public.
