Assam’s premier Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program, Orunodoi, celebrated its third edition with a series of virtual activities held at several sites in Dima Hasao. Nandita Gorlosa, the Assam Minister, graced the program in Kalibari, Lower Haflong. Sangeeta Devi, ACS, the Additional District Commissioner, and District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey, ACS, joined her. During the occasion, a live broadcast of the Orunodoi 3.0 state-level launch was aired, allowing attendees to observe the statewide deployment of the game-changing program. During her speech, Minister Gorlosa praised the district government for their hard work in carrying out the Orunodoi plan and recognized the crucial role that all parties involved played.
She also conveyed her sincere appreciation to the Finance Department and Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for their ongoing assistance in empowering the Assamese people. Concurrently, Additional District Commissioner AK Illyias Ahmed, ACS, Asst. Commissioner Raghuraj Vaidhya, local community leaders, Constituency Development Committee (CDC) Chairman Rongmanon Johori, and other dignitaries were present when Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa virtually launched the program from Sampardisa Community Hall. 26,665 of the 26,790 beneficiaries who have been identified in the district as part of the current phase have been authorized for payout under Orunodoi 3.0.
