Panasonic expands AC portfolio in East India, targets strong growth in Guwahati

Panasonic Life Solutions India has launched its 2025 air conditioner (AC) lineup in East India, reinforcing its commitment to smart and energy-efficient cooling solutions. With 61 new models across 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0-ton categories, the latest range is designed to withstand extreme temperatures up to 55°C. The new models are available through leading retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and the Panasonic Brand Store.

Abhishek Verma, Business Head, Air Conditioners Group, PMIN, PLSIND, highlighted India’s growing AC market, which is expected to expand at a CAGR of 16.5% from 2023 to 2029. “Panasonic ACs registered a 45% growth in April 2024-March 2025, surpassing industry trends. East India contributes nearly 19% to the CY’24 AC market, and Guwahati remains a significant region for us. We expect 30% growth in East India in CY’25, driven by demand for smart inverter ACs,” he said.

Guwahati continues to be a strong contributor to Panasonic’s growth, reflecting rising demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions. Retailers anticipate a surge in sales, especially for smart ACs featuring Matter, Miraie, AI, and nanoe air purification technologies, as consumers prioritize advanced climate control. With a strengthened portfolio, Panasonic aims to enhance the smart home experience and expand its footprint in East India.
