Rio inaugurates first Drone School of Nagaland

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the state’s first Drone School and Drone Centre of Excellence at the Nagaland GIS and Remote Sensing Centre, Kohima on Monday. The school will equip youth with drone technology, opening avenues for innovation, employment, and entrepreneurship. Rio said the school is a step towards building a smarter, future-ready Nagaland. The state-of-the-art facility is a pioneering initiative of the Nagaland GIS and Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) under the planning and transformation department. The drone school will offer DGCA-compliant Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) courses along with short-term non-DGCA programmer in FPV flying, drone repair and maintenance, and drone data analysis and mapping.
