Seven individuals were apprehended in Assam with arms ammunition

Seven people were arrested in an operation to prevent a criminal gang from forming in Assam’s Sonitpur district. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession, including two 7.65 mm pistols, 16 rounds of live ammunition, two country-made rifles, and two ‘khukris’ (knives). The operation was conducted by a special team led by the Dhekiajuli police. A makeshift camp at the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh at Tharaibil was also destroyed. The operation was a crackdown on criminals attempting to form gangs for illegal activities.
