Sewing a brighter future: Central Reserve Police Force supports women in Rani

As part of its Civic Action Program, the 175 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) delivered sewing instruction and sewing machines to economically disadvantaged women and girls in the Rani region. Local participants received a 20-day sewing training course from tailors assigned to the unit as part of the initiative. Rajiv Kumar Jha, Commandant of the 175 Battalion, CRPF, gave sewing machines to ten recipients on Friday after the training was finished.

Commandant Jha told the crowd that the Civic Action Program’s goals are to improve police-public relations and aid in the development of isolated and underdeveloped areas. He emphasized that the battalion has been conducting welfare activities on a regular basis, including the distribution of sewing machines, the repair and renovation of school facilities, the installation of solar lights, sports promotion, the distribution of books and stationery, coaching classes, skill development programs, student bicycles, passenger shed construction, medical check-up camps complete with free medication distribution, and more.

Additionally, refreshments were set up for the attendees, both locals and participants. The local community commended the battalion’s ongoing efforts to promote public welfare and expressed their widespread appreciation for the initiative. Second Command Officer Amit Sinha, Deputy Commandant Virat Kumar Singh, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Ajay Kumar, junior officers, CRPF troops, and locals were among those in attendance.
