Škoda Auto India has announced the much-awaited return of its legendary performance sedan, the Octavia RS. Pre-bookings will open on October 6, 2025, exclusively through the company’s official website. Available in limited numbers as a Fully-Built Unit (FBU), the Octavia RS aims to reignite the passion of Indian driving enthusiasts with sharper design, advanced dynamics, and the iconic RS badge.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, said, “Earlier this year, we promised that a global icon would return to India. Today, I’m proud to announce that we’ve delivered on that promise with the Octavia RS. With this launch, we’re not just bringing back a car. We’re bringing back an emotion.” The RS badge, derived from Škoda’s rallying heritage, first entered India in 2004 and quickly built a cult following. Known for its turbocharged petrol engine and European engineering, each RS generation has maintained strong appeal among performance-seeking buyers.
In Guwahati, there is a growing interest in premium performance cars as incomes rise among young professionals and entrepreneurs. The return of the Octavia RS is expected to boost demand in Assam’s capital, where Škoda already enjoys strong visibility through its Kushaq and Slavia models.
