Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), among the world’s largest tractor manufacturers and maker of the legendary Massey Ferguson brand in India, has concluded Season 2 of its Massey DYNASTAR Contest, #SabseBadeAllrounder Ki Talaash, celebrating grassroots agri-innovation.
This year’s edition attracted over 16,000 entries from 26 states and 5 Union Territories, with 12 finalists from seven states. The grand prize, a Massey Ferguson 254 DYNASMART 2WD tractor worth ₹8.2 lakh, was awarded to Avinash Desai from Belgaum, Karnataka, for his mobile slurry dewatering machine. Prateek Agarwal from Hojai, Assam, won second place for a solar-powered energy hub, while Punjab’s Amrit Jot Singh took third with a water purifying unit. The Jury’s Choice Award went to retired IAS officer Dr. Jayakumar Karuppusamy from Assam.
Agri-equipment dealers report rising interest among small and medium farmers seeking multipurpose solutions, especially as technology-driven innovations become more accessible. Institutional category winners included Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Bannari Amman Institute of Technology for advanced transplanter designs. TAFE has confirmed Season 3 will be launched next year with expanded reach and impact.
