The Autonomous Council’s NCHAC members, the Deputy Chairman of the NCHAC, college officials, ADCs A.K. Illias Ahmed, Shaurya Sharma, and Sangeeta Devi, the Chairperson of the Haflong Municipal Board Ripa Hojai, Assistant Commissioners, and a sizable contingent of students and faculty attended the program in Haflong.
All Assamese districts watched a live-streamed central event from Gauhati University, which linked Dima Hasao to the broader state initiative. Hon’ble Minister Gorlosa highlighted the social, economic, and emotional challenges faced by girls at a Maibang event, emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering them through education. She emphasized the Nijut Moina Asoni scheme, aiming to benefit 10 lakh girl students across Assam, providing direct financial aid at crucial educational stages. District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey appreciated the students’ achievements and praised Dima Hasao for offering a nurturing environment for academic and athletic growth.
