TVS Motor Company announced that its newly launched adventure rally tourer, the TVS Apache RTX, has secured the coveted Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) 2026 award, presented by JK Tyre. The win places the Apache RTX at the top of India’s competitive two-wheeler industry.
The motorcycle, built ground-up on the RT-XD4 platform and infused with rally DNA, was selected by a 27-member expert jury consisting of senior automotive journalists from leading national publications. The Apache RTX outperformed a shortlist of seven motorcycles across segments, reaffirming TVS Motor Company’s leadership in performance engineering and innovation.
“Being recognised at the JK Tyre Indian Motorcycle of the Year Award 2026 is a profound honour and a testament to the relentless pursuit of performance that defines TVS Motor Company,” said Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company. He added that customer response since launch reflects rising demand for performance-led rally touring motorcycles made in India for global markets.
The award coincides with the Apache brand completing 20 years, backed by a 6.5-million-strong global community. Launched in October 2025, the Apache RTX introduces TVS into the rally-touring segment, powered by a 299.1 cc liquid-cooled engine offering 36 PS and 28.5 Nm, advanced electronics, long-travel suspension and a muscular rally-inspired design.
