TVS Motor February sales surge 31%; EVs up 60%, exports hit record high

TVS Motor Company on March 1 reported a robust 31% year-on-year growth in total sales for February 2026, selling 5,29,308 units compared to 4,03,976 units in the same month last year.

Total two-wheeler sales rose 30% to 5,07,862 units from 3,91,889 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 32% to 3,65,471 units against 2,76,072 units in February 2025. Motorcycle sales increased 25% to 2,41,282 units from 1,92,960 units, while scooter sales climbed 34% to 2,19,895 units from 1,64,415 units.

Electric vehicle sales surged 60% to 38,386 units, up from 24,017 units a year ago, reflecting strong demand in the EV segment. The company’s international business recorded its highest-ever monthly sales at 1,58,268 units, marking a 27% rise from 1,24,993 units. Two-wheeler exports grew 23% to 1,42,391 units. Three-wheeler sales jumped 77% to 21,446 units.

In Guwahati, dealers reported rising enquiries for scooters and electric models, especially among young buyers and urban commuters. Improved financing access and preference for fuel-efficient mobility are supporting demand across Assam and the Northeast.

TVS Motor, listed on BSE (532343) and NSE (TVSMOTOR), operates four manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia. The company sells across 80 countries and includes brands such as Norton Motorcycles and TVS Ebike Company AG in its global portfolio.
