Two young Taekwondo athletes from the district have been appointed to government employment under the sports quota, which is a great occasion for the people of Dima Hasao and a major milestone for local athletic accomplishments. Benla Kemprai has been hired by the Transport Department, and Panchami Das, the daughter of Nikhil Das, has been assigned to the Department of Housing & Urban Affairs. Through their commitment to Taekwondo, both athletes have distinguished themselves as representatives of their region and brought honors to the district.
The two still prioritize their studies in spite of their athletic obligations; Panchami is presently enrolled in her third year of a Bachelor of Arts program, and Benla is getting ready for her Class 12 exams. Their achievements serve as a powerful source of motivation for the young people of Dima Hasao and demonstrate the harmony between education and athletics. Their accomplishments also demonstrate how athletes are increasingly able to use public service opportunities to make significant contributions to society. This accomplishment has been praised by local sports fans and well-wishers, who hope it will inspire more young people to pursue studies and professional sports.
